Thunderbirds named NOJHL all-stars

As they prepare for game three this weekend in their playoff series with the Abitibi Eskimos, the Soo Thunderbirds had four players named all-stars on Tuesday.
The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced first- and second-team all-stars Tuesday with four Thunderbird players garnering second-team spots.
Goaltender Joel Horodziejczyk, defenceman Michael Caruso and forwards Brandon Warmington and Darcy Casola were all named second team all-stars.
Horodziejczyk finished second among NOJHL goaltenders in goals against average (2.19) and save percentage (.918). He also finished third in wins with 19.
Caruso posted four goals and 16 points for the thunderbirds during the regular season and was the youngest player to earn all-star honours.
Warmington finished seventh in league scoring with 48 points in 44 games while Casola finished third in scoring with 66 points. He also finished third in goals with 28.
