Thunder complete exhibition series win over Thunder Bay

The Soo Thunder wrapped up a series of six exhibition games with the Thunder Bay Minor Midget Kings over the weekend locally.
The Thunder finished 2-1 on home ice against the Kings and 3-2-1 overall in the six game set, which began a week earlier with three games in Thunder Bay.
To open the action in Sault Ste. Marie, the Thunder picked up a 4-1 weekend-opening win. Adam McPhail had a goal and an assist in the win. Frankie Pucci, Jason Uhl and Blake Speers also scored for the locals. Jarred Taylor had the lone goal for Thunder Bay.
In game two, Bradley Thrower scored his second goal of the game with one second remaining in regulation time to give Thunder Bay a 5-4 win. Laine McKay also had a pair of goals for Thunder Bay in game two. Joshua Oberg also scored for Thunder Bay. Speers had a pair of goals for the Thunder while Pucci and Matthew Caruso also scored.
To wrap the weekend up, the Thunder scored a 5-0 win. Pucci scored a pair of goals for the locals while Speers, Owen Headrick and Nicholas Sicoly also scored.
The previous weekend in Thunder Bay, the Thunder opened the series with a 3-3 tiw thanks to goals from Sicoly, Speers and Headrick.
Thunder Bay picked up a 10-1 win in the second game in Thunder Bay thanks to a five-goal third period. Sicoly had the lone Thunder goal in the loss.
In the final game in Thunder Bay before the series shift to Sault Ste. Marie, McPhail scored a pair of goals to lead the Thunder to a 6-3 win. Speers, Sicoly, and Shane Zorzit also had goals in the win.
