Gameday Preview: Greyhounds look to get back to winning

A playoff berth is firmly in hand for the Soo Greyhounds and now the team is looking to get back on track.
The Greyhounds have a pair of losses, one in a shootout, in the first two games of a three-game homestand that wraps up tonight against the Peterborough Petes.
The Greyhounds dropped a shootout decision on Wednesday to the Sudbury Wolves before losing 6-3 to the Guelph Storm on Friday night at the Essar Centre.
Similar to the Greyhounds, the Petes enter action on Sunday night after an off-day Saturday. The Petes were in Sudbury on Friday, where they lost 6-3 to the Wolves.
The Petes arrived in town on Saturday afternoon, managing to practice ahead of tonights game.
The game will be a homecoming for Brett Findlay. The overage forward was dealt to Peterborough for draft picks prior to the season. A native of Echo Bay, Findlay spent two full season with the Greyhounds prior to the deal, posting 40 goals and 100 points in 125 career games with the team
Findlay has posted 15 goals and 41 points in 62 games this season with the Petes.
The Petes find themselves still in the playoff race in the Eastern Conference. The team enters action tonight trailing the Kingston Frontenacs and Mississauga Steelheads who sit tied for the eighth, and final, playoff position with 55 points.
The Petes will be in tough in the playoff race though as the Steelheads have a game in hand on the Petes while Kingston has two games in hand heading into the final two weeks of the season.
