OHL Roundup: Playoff races tighten as season winds down

It was a typically busy night around the Ontario Hockey League ticket on Friday night with all but two teams in action.
In Erie, Vincent Trocheck had two goals and two assists as the Plymouth Whalers beat the Erie Otters 7-4. Mitchell Heard and Rickard Rakell added a goal and an assist each in the win while Ryan Hartman, Tom Wilson and Austin Levi also scored. Stephen Harper and Connor McDavid scored for Erie in the loss.
In Kingston, Mike Morrison stopped all but one shot as the Kingston Frontenacs beat the Belleville Bulls 3-1. Dylan DiPerna Sam Bennett and Spencer Watson scored for Kingston in the win. Tyler Graovac scored for Ottawa.
In Sault Ste. Marie, Tanner Richard set up three goals as the Guelph Storm beat the Soo Greyhounds 6-3. Zac Leslie, Zack Mitchell, Cody McNaughton, Brock McGinn Hunter Garlent and Jason Dickinson scored for the Storm in the win. Colin Miller, Andrew Fritsch and Jared McCann scored for the Greyhounds in the loss.
In London, Alex Broadhurst had the shootout winner as the London Knights beat the Sarnia Sting 4-3. Max Domi, Olli Maatta and Nikita Zadorov scored in regulation time for the Knights. Charles Sarault had two goals and an assist to pace the Sting, and take over the scoring lead in the process. Bryan Moore also scored.
In Mississauga, Mathias Niederberger stopped all 26 shots he faced as the Barrie Colts blanked the Mississauga Steelheads 2-0. Tyson Fawcett and Anthony Camara scored for Barrie in the win. Mississauga goaltender Tyson Teichmann stopped 30 shots.
In Owen Sound, Tobias Rieder had the shootout winner for the Kitchener Rangers as they beat the Owen Sound Attack 2-1. Jay Gilbert scored in regulation time for Kitchener while Cameron Brace for Owen Sound.
In Oshawa, Tyler Biggs, Boone Jenner and Lucas Lessio scored for the Oshawa Generals as they beat the Brampton Battalion 3-2. Brandon Robinson and Barclay Goodrow scored for the Battalion in the loss.
In Sudbury, Mathew Campagna scored a pair of goals as the Sudbury Wolves beat the Peterborough Petes 6-3. Mathew Campagna scored a pair of goals for Sudbury in the win. Dominik Kahun and Brody Silk had a goal and an assist each for the Wolves. Michael Kantor and Dominik Kahun also scored in the win. Nelson Armstrong had two goals and an assist for the Petes. Nick Ritchie had the other Peterborough goal in the loss.
