OHL Player of the Week honour goes to a Greyhound

Soo Greyhounds forward Nick Cousins has been named the Ontario Hockey League player of the week. Cousins scored two goals and added seven assists in two games last week to earn the honour.

The big week helped Cousins take the lead in the OHL scoring race.

Cousins opened the week on Wednesday with four assists in an 8-0 Greyhounds win over the Sarnia Sting. He finished the week with two goals and three assists in a 10-7 win over the Kingston Frontenacs on SAturday night.

Named OHL Player of the Month for January, Cousins currently leads the OHL in scoring with 93 points in 56 games.

He becomes the second Greyhounds player in three weeks to earn the award. Defenceman Ryan Sproul earned the honour two weeks ago.
