North Stars pick up road win

The Soo North Stars ran their Great North Midget League record to 3-0 on Wednesday night with a 5-1 victory over the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves in Sudbury.
Matt Pinder and Anthony Stefano had a goal and an assist each to pace the North Stars offensively while Jaron Rowe set up a pair of goals. Ryan Vendramin, Cody Caron and Brandon Grandinetti also scored in the win.
Brian Kment picked up the win between the pipes for the North Stars.
Kyle Fransen had the lone goal for Sudbury in the loss.
Next up for the North Stars is a pair of home games this weekend against the Nickel City Sons on Saturday night (7 p.m.) and Sunday afternoon (1 p.m.).
