The Soo Greyhounds roster now stands at 25 players after three players were re-assigned.
The team announced on Tuesday evening that forward Dylan Mascarin, defenceman Fraser turner and goaltender Charlie Millen have been reassigned.
Turner will suit up with the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League’s Soo Thunderbirds, where he suited up last season.
Mascarin, acquired in a trade with the Plymouth Whalers over the summer that also saw Mitchell Dempsey join the Greyhounds, has been assigned to the Superior League’s Thunder Bay North Stars.
Millen, who suited up for limited duty with the Greyhounds last season, has been reassigned to the Ottawa Jr. Senators of the Central Canadian League.
The team also announced on Tuesday that overage forward David Quesnele will be inactive for the first two weeks of the season due to injury.
In other team news, defencemen Colin Miller, Ryan Sproul and Darnell Nurse as well as David Broll will be assistant captains for the team as they open the Ontario Hockey League season on Friday night against the Plymouth Whalers.
The team is also hosting a “State of the Franchise” event on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. at the Roberta Bondar Pavillion. The event will see a team introduction as well as a question and answer session with team management and staff.
