Greyhounds drop road decision in Saginaw

SAGINAW, MI. – The Soo Greyhounds dropped a 5-1 decision to the Saginaw Spirit in Saginaw on Saturday night in Ontario Hockey League exhibition action.

Eric Locke scored a pair of goals for Saginaw, who outshot the Greyhounds 55-30 in the contest. Nick Moutry and Steven Strong had a pair of assists each for Saginaw in the win while Carlos Amestoy, Vincent Trocheck and Dylan Sadowy also scored.

Dylan Staples had the lone goal for the Greyhounds in the loss.

Charlie Millen and Justin Nichols split the goaltending duties for the Greyhounds in the loss with Millen getting the start and Nichols seeing action after entering the game midway through the second period.

The Greyhounds have one more road exhibition game, Sept. 14 in Sudbury. The following night, the Greyhounds wrap up their exhibition season with a home game against Saginaw.

Guess the three didn't make the trip. You'll see them play Sudbury next game.
The story here should of focussed on, after the summary, the three charged, and if they made the trip.

Does it really matter if the three accused made the trip....The story wasn't about the accused it was how the hounds did while away. Lets stick to the topic.

It would matter if they were in the lineup, the game may have went better for the Greyhounds since they are three of their best players.
