U15 Boys Civics finish season with silver medal

U15 Boys Defeated in Penalty Kicks

For the fourth tournament in a row the U15 Boys Sault Civics Fire soccer team advanced to the Finals, settling this time for a silver medal at the Ottawa Kickin’ In The Capital Tournament this past weekend.

During round robin play the Sault Boys finished with a record of two wins and two ties.

The first game ended in a 2-1 win over the Ottawa Royals Hellenic. Goals were scored by Dylan Robertson and Quinten Grimm.

The second game was a 0 -0 tie with the Belleville Comets. Avery Ciotti recorded the shutout.

The third game ended in a 3 -0 victory over the Nepean Hotspurs Warriors. Goals were scored by Bradley Brideaux, Dylan Robertson and Aaron Lidstone. The shutout was recorder by Michael Chilelli.

The fourth game was a heated battle against the FC Monteuil team which ended in a 0 -0 tie. Avery Ciotti again had the shutout.

The championship game was a rematch against the Belleville Comets with the game ending in another tie. Tied 1-1 after regulation time and with momentum definitely in favour of the Sault Boys, the game went straight to penalty kicks with no overtime. The boys had to settle for a silver medal. The lone goal of the game for the Sault was scored by Trent Sepkowski. The penalty kicks were scored by Quinten Grimm and Trent Sepkowski.

This ends a very successful season for the U15 Boys Sault Civics Fire with a total of two gold medals and two silver medals.

It could not have been possible without the support of the above mentioned players and all of the following members of the team: Cody Brideaux, Can Cui, Earl Gibbs, Rocky Krancevich, Jake Jackson, Jacob Palmerio, Anthony Policicchio, Chris Sabourin, Marcus Sacchetta, Billy Szlag, Daniel Zagordo; Manager Tomassina Sepkowski; Assistant Coach Daniel Nicholson; Head Coach Frank Sacchetta and sponsor Personal Touch Auto Limited.
