U15 boys finish second in Sudbury

U15 BOYS WIN SILVER IN SUDBURY

The U15 Boys Sault Civics Fire soccer team returned home this past weekend with a silver medal from the Greater Sudbury Impact Soccer Tournament.

In their first of three Saturday games, the U15 boys defeated Barrie Spirit 2-1. Goals were scored by Jacob Palmerio and Earl Gibbs. 

The second game ended in a 1-0 score against Greater Sudbury Impact U15. The lone goal was scored by Quinten Grimm. Michael Chilelli posted the shutout.

The third game was a 4-3 loss to the Greater Sudbury Impact U14 team. Goals were scored by Trent Sepkowski, Can Cui and Bradley Brideaux.

The semi-final game on Sunday morning was a rematch against the Greater Sudbury Impact U14 team but this time the outcome was a 2-1 win for the Sault Civics Fire. The goal scorers were Jabob Palmerio and Quinten Grimm.

During the final on a hot Sunday afternoon, the Sault boys had nothing left and could not capitalize on their chances losing to the Whitby Iroquois 4-1.  The Sault goal was scored by Bradley Brideaux.

The U15 Boys Sault Civics Fire have now won two gold medals and one silver medal so far this season.
