Nurse invited to Under-18 selection camp

Soo Greyhounds defenceman Darnell Nurse was among 40 players invited to Hockey Canada’s National Men’s Under-18 Team selection camp today.
The camp opens on August 3 and features 17 players from the Ontario Hockey League.
Also selected from the OHL were goaltender Spencer Martin of Mississauga; defencemen Chris Bigras or Owen Sound, Aaron Ekblad of Barrie and Jordan Subban of Bellevile; along with forwards Nick Baptiste of Sudbury, Jason Dickinson of Guelph, Max Domi of London, Hunter Garlent of Gueklph, Stephen Harper of Erie, Bo Horvat of London, Ryan Kujawinski of Kingstonand Zach Nastasiuk of Owen Sound, Stephen Nosad of Peterborough, Brent Pedersen of Kitchener, Nick Ritchie of Peterborough and Brandon Robinson of Brampton.
Hockey Canada will use the camp to select the 22 players who will represent Canada at the 2012 Memorial of Ivan Hlinka tournament in Piestany, Slovakia and Breclav, Czech Republic. The six-day tournament opens on August 13.
