Black Sox split double header with Alpena

The Cambrian Nissan Midget Black Sox split a double header locally on Tuesday night in Great Lakes Baseball League action against Alpena.

In the opener, winds played havoc with both clubs as Alpena came away with a 10-8 victory.

Dana Lesage and Eric Thornton each had a pair of walks in the win while Jeb Pallot had a single and a walk in the loss.

The Black Sox battled back and won the second game 8-3. Jordan Pine hit three doubles in the victory while Kris Kerr had a single and three walks to chip in offensively. Trevor Sayers and Colin McAuley each knocked in a pair of runs.
