Tenaris/SIS U16 Civic Vipers start WOYSL on right foot

The Tenaris/SIS Civic Vipers collected four of a possible six points in their first two games of their WOYSL season over the weekend.

The Vipers tied Cambridge United 0-0 in the first game, which saw both teams trade chances. Jamie Ricard posted the shutout for the Vipers.

In game two, the Vipers scored late in the game to post a 2-1 victory. Down 1-0 heading into the second half, Christina Richer scored her first goal of the season off a free kick at the 10-minute mark.

The Vipers continued to put pressure on the Cambridge United defense throughout the second half. With 15 minutes left to play, a handball in the box resulted in a penalty shot for the Vipers. Daniella Febbraro made no mistake and scored, giving the Vipers the victory.

Next action for the Vipers is June 9 in London, followed by June 10 in Windsor.
