Mental health programs are dramatically underfunded and there's more stigma than actual treatment going around in this city... so it's good to see a step in the right direction.

Right now the hospital is down to 2 psychiatrist who have stopped seeing their patients or booking appointments because they have to concentrate on inpatients who need the most critical and immediate care... So there is a bit of a mental health crisis going on in Sault Ste Marie.

This is a step in the right direction, but a small one.
