RHC... a cat walk in that location wouldn't solve the problem -- there are three other streets that pedestrians could exit and cross St George's.

As well, in this case the pedestrian was not crossing the road -- he was walking along the sidewalk, as he should have been doing.

anam_cara... a vehicle doesn't have to be going very fast to cause fatal injuries.

This is indeed an unfortunate tragedy. My thoughts are with the family and friends of both the victim and the driver.
