Christina, your assuming that the pedestrian was struck crossing the street (J-walking to which is illegal), but they weren't.
And there is a crosswalk just up the street in visible sigh, that is pedestrian controlled, What's wrong with that one?? Adding a light right in front of the school will cause nothing but more issues!
