Once again no offesnse. Our algoma university is a great place for those wanting to receive degrees in the areas mentioned.
The mayor needs to revisit the reason why more and more students are going to get there degress in Michigan or Toronto or Sudbury, rather than locally here. There is'nt really a big variety of courses to offer young people. It needs improvement. What would be nice is if we had more speaialized programs here that could possibly attract others to come to university here? That would be a nice switch up? I dont know if the university has the distance learning like at sault college but the idea is very interesting and valuable. I've used it myself. I think sault college has some unique programs offered only up here as well? Alot of people have gone to sault michigan or detroit area some to get their pharmacist training and I know of one friend who took engineering at the sault michigan univesity for egineering/automotive industry training. We need a few more things like this at our university to keep students here. Just my opinion of course.
