Just Curious... The fact is that Ray didn't die for being gay, either. He died because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time; he stood up for a friend who was being attacked on the street by a violent and mentally ill individual.

Ray would never stand idly by and watch this sort of thing happen. However, he did live his life in the belief that hatred should be confronted with love, and violence confronted with peace.

Those who knew him best have said that Ray would not want to seek vengeance against his attacker and would, in fact, forgive him.

Ray was a better man than I, however... I have trouble forgiving someone who would "just say" something that is both so insensitive and so untrue.
