A frog drinks with its what?! (9 photos)

Most frogs drink water with their butts. This is just one of the many weird and wonderful things we learned during our visit today to Little Ray's Reptile Zoo hosted at the John Rhodes Arena.

This is just one of the many weird and wonderful things we learned during our visit today to Little Ray's Reptile Zoo hosted at the John Rhodes Arena.

The interactive reptile (and other critters) exhibit features a multitude of live animal educational programs, 30 exhibits, some creepy-crawly things, some swamp-dwelling things, a beautiful Eurasian lynx, and of course Lady Chomps-A-Lot, Little Ray's star 150-pound alligator.

SooToday.com spotted a number of brave folks eagerly taking their portrait with Lady Chomps-A-Lot with a bit of help from the Zoo's trained handlers.

For those concerned about animals in captivity, it's interesting to note that more than 90 percent of the critters under Little Ray's care are unwanted or confiscated animals received from individuals, the SPCA, and municipal, provincial, and federal authorities.

Little Ray's Reptile Zoo will be in the Sault at the John Rhodes Arena tomorrow (Sunday) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission is $10 per person, children 2 and under are admitted free.
