Come one, come all and celebrate life.

Celebrate your children, your partners your friends and family.

We live in a beautiful place.

Come and dance in celebration.

The 9th annual Garden River Traditional Pow Wow opened last evening.

Young and old came to dance, visit and make new friends.

The theme of this years pow wow is to honour the Jingle Dress dancers.

The women, the givers of life and the foundation of the Anishnabe we honour you today and every day.

Come and enjoy your self.

Grand entries today at 1 and 7 pm.

There will be dancing all day.

Different events and fun times.

Follow the head dancers Barbara Day and Steve Nolan.

Doris Boissoneau will explain what is going on and Donald Syrette will direct the dancing arena.

Get your picture taken in front of the biggest dream catcher that I have ever seen.

Let the dream catcher catch those bad dreams and let the good dreams in.

Enjoy the food vendors and browse through the artists booths.

Take highway 17B thru downtown Garden River, make a turn at the Big Arrow gas bar and convenience store, follow point Charles Road and bear to the right.

You will soon be there.

P.S. Bring your dancing slippers and no blockades!
