As part of National Youth Arts Week, Swish Event Promotions presented Drag It Out on Friday.
 
This event included hair and make-up tutorials, wardrobe workshops, and a very detailed question and answer period with local drag celebrity, Gia Diamond (shown) who reveled her tricks of the trade.
 
After getting glammed up, 15 in attendance caught a bus.
 
That's right, Public Transit.
 
Sitting next to local commuters, these Drag Kings and Queens boarded their chariot to a metal show down at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion.
 
So, lets recap.
 
Drag Workshop + Drag Mob on the Bus + Metal Show = Surprisingly good times.
 
"We wanted to organize something to engage youth and celebrate diversity, color, and our own outrageousness," said Cat Kim of swish event promotions. "Taking into account everything this event entailed, I think we accomplished our goal."
