TORONTO - The infamous mayor of Toronto might have been given the cold shoulder by popular actor Kevin Spacey during a recent trip to L.A.

That's what Rob Ford's brother and fellow city councillor Doug Ford is telling the viewers of "Ford Nation," the YouTube show produced by the brothers.

He said while the mayor was waiting to appear on the late night talk show "Jimmy Kimmel Live," the Fords were told they couldn't talk to or take a picture with Spacey, who is currently starring in Netflix's hit show "House of Cards."

"In my opinion, he's an arrogant S.O.B.," said Doug Ford, who prefaced his comments by saying Spacey is an "incredible actor."

"He's up there that no common folk can take a picture."

Doug Ford then made a direct comment to Spacey.

"Kevin, why don't you get off your high horse and be real and take pictures with people?"

Rob Ford took a more muted approach, saying he doesn't watch movies.

"I wouldn't know him if I ran him over," the mayor said of Spacey. "Maybe he does take pictures and we're not aware of it."

Spacey, who appeared with Kimmel as Ford did a brief promotional walk-on a day before his 15-minute appearance on the show, took a few jabs at the mayor.

"That's the first time I've had to follow a Ford,'' he quipped. "And one that was so banged up.''

When Kimmel thanked Spacey for sharing a dressing room with the mayor, Spacey responded, "Well, he threw up all over it, but those are the chances you take.''

Ford's full-length appearance on Kimmel's show saw the comedian bring up a number of controversies that have made the mayor an international talking point.

It followed months of wooing Ford to appear as a guest on the show.

The late-night host has repeatedly skewered the Toronto mayor since reports emerged last May of a video showing Ford smoking what appears to be crack cocaine.
