Candidates face off in final Liberal debate

MONTREAL - The six candidates vying for the federal Liberal leadership will face off in Montreal this afternoon.

The contenders will be working to distinguish themselves in what will be the fifth and final debate of the campaign.

Figures show perceived frontrunner Justin Trudeau has raised $1.3 million since entering the race last October, an amount that's likely far more than the combined fundraising conducted by his rivals.

The six contenders must file the first of four weekly financial reports with Elections Canada by tomorrow.

In the race with Trudeau are former Toronto MP Martha Hall Findlay, Vancouver MP Joyce Murray, former cabinet minister Martin Cauchon, Toronto lawyer Deborah Coyne and retired military officer Karen McCrimmon.

The party will choose a new leader on April 14th .
