Rob Ford touched me inappropriately: woman
TORONTO - Toronto Mayor Rob Ford is facing allegations he made suggestive comments and touched inappropriately a former mayoral candidate — a claim his chief of staff is challenging.
Sarah Thomson has taken to Facebook to complain about an encounter she says she had Thursday night with Ford at a Canadian Jewish Political Affairs Committee party.
She says the mayor told her she should have come with him on a recent trip to Florida, adding that his wife wasn't there.
Thomson, publisher of the Women's Post and a transit activist, told radio station NewsTalk 1010 that the two then posed for a picture together and he "grabbed" her behind.
She posted on Facebook the picture in which she says the unwanted touching took place and the mayor is seen with his eyes closed, mouth open and a stain on his shirt.
Ford's chief of staff Mark Towhey questioned the claims to NewsTalk 1010, saying none of the staff members present heard the comments Thomson is alleging Ford made, and in fact Ford's wife and children were with him in Florida last week.
