Boniferro Mill Works announced today that its new million-dollar saw line is installed and will be officially opened later this week.

The company issued the following statement today:

****************** Boniferro Mill Works' new saw line operational

Minister of Natural Resources David Ramsay will be in Sault Ste. Marie Thursday January 22, 2004 to participate in the start up of the new sawing line at Boniferro Mill Works.

The new line completes a one million ($1,000,000) investment in the Hardwood Sawmill located on Third Line in Sault Ste. Marie.

The Tele Twin MEM Scragg saw line will add to the manufacturing capacity of the mill and convert the primary manufacturer to value added production.

The saw is manufactured in France by Mecanique et Engrenage Modernes (MEM).

Representatives from MEM will also be in Sault Ste. Marie to assist with the initial operation of the equipment.

This investment brings the total capital expenditures to over $1.7 million since Boniferro Mill Works purchased the mill from Domtar in March of 2003.

Boniferro Mill Works Inc. is a partnership between Tom Fox of Hamilton, Montana and Jim Boniferro of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

Fox Lumber Sales is the exclusive sales agent for product manufactured at Boniferro Mill Works.

The value added product is also sold through www.mapleandbirch.com.

The official start-up will be held Thursday January 22, 2004 at 10 a.m. at the mill located at 45 Third Line West in Sault Ste. Marie.
