OPP NEWS RELEASE

************************* Marijuana found in package at Greyhound terminal

WAWA, ON - On Friday November 4, 2011 at 10 a.m. Superior East OPP Wawa Detachment attended the Greyhound Bus Terminal in Wawa in regards to a suspicious package that had arrived.

Investigation by OPP officers located a quantity of Cannabis Marijuana weighing over 100 grams.

As a result 22 year-old Thomas Thayer of Wawa was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to The Controlled Drug and Substance Act.

He was released on a promise to appear for Criminal Court in Wawa on January 9th, 2012.

Estimated value of the controlled substance was $2,000.
