Investigators with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service are continuing their investigation into the May 19 fatal fire at 606 Wellington Street East.

Sault Ste. Marie investigators continue to work with the Ontario Fire Marshal's Office, Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services, Northern Regional Lab and American authorities.

Early in the investigation, the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service identified an American citizen as a person of interest.

Recently Sault Ste. Marie Investigators attended Waukegan, Illinois to interview the person of interest who is now considered a suspect.

The investigation is on going. Media will be updated as information regarding the investigation becomes available.
