The enforcer was found dead yesterday in a Toronto hotel room after police received a 9-1-1 call.

Belak was in Toronto rehearsing for the upcoming season of Battle of the Blades after retiring from the NHL earlier this year.

This marks the third NHL player death in four months.

Derek Boogaard was found dead in May after consuming alcohol and oxycodone, and former Vancouver Canuck Rick Rypien committed suicide in mid-August.
