Update on fatal Wellington St fire

***************************** Fatal fire investigation 606 Wellington Street East

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and Sault Ste. Marie Fire Service are continuing an investigation with the assistance of the Ontario Fire Marshall's Office into the fatal fire that occurred in the early hours on the 19th of May, 2011.

Investigators have not made a determination as to whether there is a connection to other fires currently under investigation.

A post mortem has been conducted on the 48-year-old victim and final results are not being released as this is an on going investigation.
