Drug charges follow highway traffic stop

Drug enforcement traffic stop on Hwy 108

ELLIOT LAKE, ON - January 31, 2010, the East Algoma OPP in conjunction with the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Drug Enforcement Unit Sault Ste. Marie conducted a traffic stop on Highway 108.

A large quantity of cocaine was seized with a street value of $14,000.

Both vehicles stopped were seized as offence related property and investigation is continuing.

Charged are:

Bradley Elwood Davidson (50) of Elliot Lake with the following:

- Possession for the purpose: cocaine

- Possession: marijuana contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Suzanne Mary Johnson (50) of Elliot Lake with the following:

- Possession for the purpose: cocaine

- Possession: marijuana contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Davidson remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

Johnson is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on April 6, 2010.
