Trafficking charge laid after McNabb St drug raid

Drug arrest from January 20 search warrant

Twenty-four-year-old David Arthur MacLary of 297 McNabb Street was arrested yesterday at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service after turning himself in on outstanding charges stemming from a January 20 search warrant at his residence.

It is alleged that on that date a search warrant was executed by members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service street team, emergency services unit, patrol services, along with the assistance of the Joint Forces Intelligence Unit and Provincial Organized Crime Enforcement Team.

A small quantity of drugs was located including methamphetamine, oxycodone and codeine tablets, and marijuana.

A quantity of cash and drug paraphernalia was also seized.

The accused Arthur MacLary was not home at the time the warrant was executed.

He has been charged with trafficking in a controlled drug or substance as well as two counts of possession of a controlled drug or substance.

Mr. MacLary was released and is compelled to attend court on the 8th of March.
