At least 12 people are dead and 30 are injured following a shooting spree that took place this afternoon at the Killeen, Texas Fort Hood military base.

The army base, as well as area schools, are currently under lock-down and area residents are being asked to stay away from windows.

One gunman is dead while two others remain in custody.

The shooting reportedly took place at the Fort Hood movie theatre.
