OPP NEWS RELEASE

GARDEN RIVER, ON - On Saturday, October 31, 2009, at 4:20 a.m., Sault Ste. Marie OPP were dispatched to a vehicle in the ditch on Highway 17B in Garden River.

A white 2000 Pontiac Grand-Am had been travelling eastbound on Highway 17B when it skidded across the highway landing in the ditch facing westbound.

The driver was located a short distance from the vehicle and exhibited signs of alcohol impairment.

The driver was the lone occupant and there were no injuries.

Arrested and charged with impaired driving and operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs. of alcohol is David Jamie Wilson, 22 years-old, of 128 Constellation Place, Sault Ste. Marie Ontario.

Wilson was released on a promise to appear for court on December 7, 2009.
