Still pushing its first-ever fan-routed North American tour, KISS has announced on its official website that "in order to keep the competition fair for smaller cities, final site selection will weigh population size versus total votes."
That's extremely good news for Sault Ste. Marie, since we've received more than 10,000 votes, repesenting approximately 15 per cent of our population.
We're currently holding steady in third place, just behind Oshawa and Winnipeg, and ahead of Kingston and Calgary.
Voters are also encouraged to create viral videos to convince friends and fans to vote for their city.
The KISS camp will compile "best of" reels of these videos to be screened at each selected venue prior to the concert.
And if that's not enough to convince friends, family and fans to vote for a KISS concert in the Sault, the band also announced that LA's Buckcherry will be the tour's supporting act.
Fans have until June 30 to vote for Sault Ste. Marie to be included on the tour.
