A 20-year-old man is in custody in Mackinac County Jail on a $1 million bond following the shooting death of a teenager near St. Ignace.

Roy Roach is accused of killing 19-year-old Seth Tamlin in Moran Township late last night.

Michigan State Police say Roach shot Tamlin with a hand gun.

According to investigators, the two men knew each other.

Roach has been charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter and felony firearms.

He is scheduled to appear in court on November 5.

Conviction of second-degree murder could send Roach to prison for the rest of his life.
