ROYAL CANADIAN MOUNTED POLICE

************************* Portage la Prairie RCMP, with the assistance of the Winnipeg Major Crime Services Unit, the Dauphin Major Crime Services Unit and Winnipeg Forensic Identification Section, are continuing to investigate the murder of a 22-year-old male subject which occurred on a Greyhound bus traveling eastbound on Highway 1 during the evening hours of July 30.

A post-mortem is scheduled for today (August 1, 2008) at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre.

The name of the deceased is not being released at this time.

Vince Weiguang Li, 40 years of age, of Edmonton, Alberta has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

Li will be appearing in the Provincial Court of Manitoba in Portage la Prairie today (August 1, 2008) at 1000 hours.

The investigation is ongoing and no further details are being released at this time.
