Hillary Clinton has told New York legislators during a conference call that she would be open to running as Barack Obama's vice presidential candidate, the Associated Press (AP) reports.
Clinton said she would be open to the possibility, if it would help Obama win over key Democratic voting blocks like Hispanics and women.
The conference call came after Clinton's campaign released a statement denying an earlier AP report that she would concede to Barack Obama tonight.
Former president Jimmy Carter is also preparing to officially endorse Obama tonight, U.S. networks report.
