The following Canadian tour, including a stop in Sault Ste. Marie, has just been announced by Hilary Duff on her official website.

So far, no announcement has been made by the Steelback Centre.

We've also posted the latest version of Hilary's official biography, although it appears to have been written last year and is a bit out-of-date.

Hilary's official biography

Hilary Duff was born September 28, 1987 in Houston, Texas.

At a young age, Hilary studied Cecchetti ballet.

Her first performance was with her sister Haylie in the Nutcracker with the Columbus BalletMet.

Her first big role was in Casper Meets Wendy where she was the first live-action Wendy.

After that success, Hilary was cast as the title character in the Disney television series Lizzie McGuire.

Lizzie and Hilary were instant hits!

With the success of the series, The Lizzie McGuire Movie released to theaters in 2003 and debuted at #2.

Hilary also appeared in Agent Cody Banks and Cheaper by the Dozen in 2003, Raise Your Voice and A Cinderella Story in 2004 and The Perfect Man and the sequel Cheaper by the Dozen 2 in 2005.

In 2006, Material Girls co-starring her sister Haylie and the animated movie Foodfight! will release.

As Hilary was becoming a film and television star, she was also launching a recording career.

Her first album Metamorphosis was #1 on the Billboard 200 and went on to sell more than 2 million copies with the #1 single So Yesterday.

Hilary's latest album Most Wanted debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and was #1 in Canada and #8 in Japan.

Her hit single Wake Up was the #1 video on MTV TRL and the #1 single on Radio Disney and AOL.

Her second single Beat of my Heart's video was also #1 on MTV TRL.

Hilary's concert tours here in the States, Canada and Australia always sell out and she has plans to tour abroad soon in Japan and just finished her music promotion tour through Europe.

Hilary launched her fashion and home label stuff by Hilary Duff in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand and plans to expand into new categories and new territories around the world.

Recently, she announced the launch of her teen designer brand Hilary Duff with the announcement of the first product launch imminent.

She plans to launch a juniors line Fall 2007 in the U.S. and abroad.

Hilary's success has earned prestigious awards including Kids Choice Awards, Teen Choice Awards and a Young Artist Award.

Plus, she's graced the covers of Teen People, Jane Magazine, CosmoGirl, ElleGirl and OK!.

She's on key Hollywood lists including People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful and Teen People's Hottest Stars Under 25 and Young Hollywood Power List (at #4) and a guest on various television shows including The Today Show, Jay Leno, Kelly and Regis, The View, etc. and hosted the 2005 Teen Choice Awards.

You might have also caught Hilary endorsing various products including Candie's new fashion line and Barbie fashions and Hershey's Ice Breakers with her sister Haylie.

Philanthropy is very important to Hilary.

She knows how important it is to give back to others.

Recently, Hilary donated money for the Hurricane Katrina relief funds to the American Red Cross and USA Harvest, feeding over 2,000,000 people with the USA Harvest donation alone.

Hilary is an international spokesperson of Kids With A Cause, a charity organization which specializes in poverty-stricken children, and is associated with the Department of Public Information of the United Nations.

Hilary's busy with her acting, music, performing, fashion, home and beauty lines and philanthropic work.

She just turned 18 and is ready to continue to take over the rest of the world!
