Guess who had the best-tasting, hottest chili at the 2006 RBC Financial Chilifest in support of Sault Area Hospital Foundation?

Would you believe the local soup kitchen?

It was the first time the Sault Ste. Marie Soup Kitchen Community Centre entered the popular annual event, and the Roberta Bondar pavilion erupted with enthusiastic applause when it was announced as winner.

The agency got a little culinary assistance, though, from Terry Guertin from the food service staff at the Plummer Hospital's Daisy Cafe.

Jenn Muio and Sheila Gallagher (shown) and their colleagues from Fratelli's, won both the spirit award and second place.
