Identity of Harmony Beach ATV crash victim released

******************** Fatal all-terrain vehicle collision

Ontario Provincial Police from the Sault Ste. Marie Detachment are continuing their investigation into a fatal ATV accident that occurred at approximately 7 p.m. on Friday, June 30 on Wolf Lake Road in Havilland Township north of Sault Ste. Marie.

A 39-year-old male, Michael Johnston of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario was fatally injured when his 2006 Polaris Sportsman ATV left the travelled portion of the roadway and hit a tree.

The Ontario Provincial Police Technical Traffic Collision Investigator attended the scene on the 30th of June and are working on the compilation of data collected to prepare the report.

A post mortem was conducted Monday, July 3 and the type and extent of the injuries has yet to be released.

The OPP are continuing to investigate.
