A police helicopter is being used in the search for a suspect wanted for an armed robbery this afternoon at the Scotia Bank branch on Highway 17 in Spanish.

(Spanish, Ont.) - East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating an armed robbery suspect from this afternoon's robbery of the Spanish Branch of the Scotia Bank.
The suspect and vehicle are described as:
Vehicle - Yamaha Raptor or Warrior four-wheeled motorcycle - older model. The front cowling had been painted grey while the underside and lower parts were Yamaha Blue. The vehicle had no decals or logos that could be seen.
Suspect was wearing: - black and silver (two-tone) motocross type helmet - black and red motocross racing style gloves - light coloured hoodie, with dark coloured sleeves - tan coloured boots with square toes and nylon pants
Suspect is described as: - approximately 6' to 6'2" (183 - 185 cm) tall with his helmet on - late teens to early twenties
Police are asking the public to call them if they think they know this person or have seen the suspect vehicle.
