New York City hit by all-time record snowfall

A massive snowfall today in New York City has set an all time record since record-keeping began in 1869. The 26.9 inches of snow that's fallen so far Sunday in Central Park breaks the old record of 26.4 inches, set in December, 1947.

The 26.9 inches of snow that's fallen so far Sunday in Central Park breaks the old record of 26.4 inches, set in December, 1947.

The Big Apple storm has included wind gusts up to 100 kilometres an hour.

Atlantic Canada is also being hit heavily by snow.
