Ah the Soo,
I miss it, I really, really do...
For some reason or another, I'm stuck in Sudbury and I can't get out!!
But first, a little about moi.
Graduated in '98 from St. Basil's, left the Soo in '99 to pursue a career in anthropology via studying at the University of Windsor.
Meeting the love of my life, Jason Pirie (Cambridge, Ontario) in 2000 did not help my studying situation either.
So off I went to follow love and ended up in London for a few years and together Jay and I welcomed our daughter Jillian, who will be three in January, and is the sweetest child I have ever met (I know, biased).
With no family and friends around - we found ourselves trekking back up north - to Sudbury.
On October 21, Jason and I tied the knot in Las Vegas!!
It was amazing to say the least.
For now, I work at Canadian Blood Services, bugging the heck out of people to donate blood, but I do actually enjoy it, it's my way of contributing to society while getting paid for it.
Jason is in the midst of pursuing his dream as a sports writer.
He was covering for the Sudbury Star for a while, and now freelances.
This is where the Soo comes in, this is my chance to come "home".
"A" local newspaper is hiring a sports writer in the near future and Jay will be applying.
So if a certain someone reads this, perhaps ... PERHAPS ... my husband will be considered!!
It has been difficult for one reason or another to get "home," my friends are there, they miss me and I miss them.
So Merry Christmas to everyone who knows me.
I am truly a Soo girl stuck in the big Rock.
Blast me out of here.
Please!!!
