A 17-year-old youth was arrested on [Sunday] October 30 just before 2 a.m.

City Police attended in the 100 block of Great Northern Road after calls came in regarding a person lying on the roadway.

When officers arrived they found the accused fighting with persons trying to remove the youth from the street.

When officers went to arrest the youth, the youth continued to fight with officers by kicking them, punching them and head butting them.

The youth was taken into custody and charged with one count of cause a disturbance by being drunk, one count of resist arrest and one count of breach of probation.

The youth will appear in court on December 6.
