Long Weekend Outlook: Bring on some Thanksgiving heat

When it’s time to eat turkey we typically would wake up to patch frost and daytime highs that just break above +10°C for a couple hours in the afternoon. Back in 2002 we had snow flurries during the Thanksgiving weekend.

Back in 2002 we had snow flurries during the Thanksgiving weekend.

That will NOT be the case this year.

Instead we should get one last chance at some time outside on the deck before cooler weather arrives next week.

Friday will see sunshine arrive through the day with daytime highs a couple degrees above +10°C.

Gusty northwest winds will blow over 20km/h, gusting towards 40km/h in the afternoon and make it feel much cooler.

Saturday will likely see more clouds than sun, but the winds shift around to the southwest and help push temperatures back up above normal and into the mid-teens.

By Saturday we will see partly cloudy skies and much warmer temperatures – some locations could reach +20°C by mid-afternoon.

The gusty southwest winds will continue all day.

Monday will see clouds and a chance of showers mixed with some periods of rain as colder air pushes into the region for next week.
