World Habitat Day

In honour of World Habitat Day, the Restore will be offering a special 25 percent off your entire purchase from 9a.m.-5 p.m. on Monday, October 5.

World Habitat Day is the one day set aside annually to recognize the basic right of all humanity to adequate shelter, and to encourage grassroots action toward ending poverty housing.

The United Nations General Assembly declared in 1985 that the first Monday in October would be World Habitat Day.

World Habitat Day reminds the world that we all have the power and the responsibility to shape the future of our cities and towns.

Habitat for Humanity Sault Ste. Marie and Area offers qualifying families a hand up.

We work alongside our partner families, who learn about homeownership and gain a sense of pride and community.

All partner families contribute by repayment of their no-interest mortgage allowing Habitat for Humanity Sault Ste. Marie and Area to build more homes and help more families to enjoy an opportunity to own their own home.
