PUC to modify unidirectional flushing program for downtown next week

The PUC would like to advise customers and residents that Unidirectional Flushing (UDF) activity is scheduled to start in the downtown core next week.

Recognizing how potentially disruptive UDF activities could be for downtown businesses and restaurants, the PUC will be temporarily modifying its flushing procedures for the downtown core to perform the work during the overnight hours. 

For the two-week period that overnight flushing will occur, the flushing schedule is as follows:

Week #1 (Area Map)

Commencing on Sunday night, September 20 and ending Thursday morning, September 24.

Flushing hours are between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Week #2 (Area Map)

Commencing on Sunday night, September 27 and ending on Thursday morning, October 1.

Flushing hours are between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Normal (daytime) flushing activities will resume on Monday, October 5 and run until October 9 (Area Map), at which point, the 2015 UDF program will be complete for the year.

The PUC would like to remind customers that the work scheduled for next week is tentative and subject to change due to weather or resource constraints.
