Meet the new chair of the United Way campaign

The Board of Directors of United Way of Sault Ste. Marie and district are pleased to introduce James Caicco, Chair of the 2015 Annual United Way Campaign.

The 2015 Campaign will kick-off on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the Community Leaders Breakfast sponsored by Algoma’s Water Tower Inn & Suites and will run until Friday, December 17, 2015.

James Caicco owns and operates Century 21 Choice Realty Inc. and brings with him 20 years of Real Estate industry experience, and a solid commitment to the community.  

After obtaining his honours' BBA from Algoma University, he took several courses through the Appraisal Institute of Canada and trained as a residential appraiser under Henry Bullock, AACI.

In 1995, he began working as a full-time realtor. 

In February 2011, James purchased Century 21 Pro North Realty and become Broker of Record operating Century 21 Choice Realty. 

He also owns and operates Property One Management and Centum Mortgage Approval Centre.  

James served as City Councillor for Ward One residents from 2000-2010. 

During his time on Council, he was the driving force behind several initiatives including the Essar Centre and the Physician Recruitment Program.

Along with extensive experience with Government Agencies, James has strong ties to the local business community. 

Other involvement includes the Algoma University Board of Governors, PUC Board of Directors, and James served as the President of the Chamber of Commerce in 2011. 

Currently, James sits as the Sault Ste. Marie Representative on the NOHFC Board and serves as Director on the Sault College Board of Governors.

James is married to Tiffany, and is the father of two.

He understands the value of family, work, and community. 

He believes the key to a full life is a strong community; an environment that creates opportunities for individuals, especially children and families, to thrive. 

He is so excited with his role with the United Way this year and considers it an honour to work with the United Way Staff and Campaign Cabinet in this important Campaign.
