Police issue advisory after attempted snowblower heist

On August 31 city police attended on Tilley Road for a break and enter. 

Sometime around 4 a.m. the homeowner heard a loud truck out front of the residence and looked out. 

They observed a black truck with 4 to 6 roof lights on it.

One person was observed getting into the truck and driving away. 

Later in the morning the homeowner noted that their shed had been entered and a red lawnmower was taken.

An attempt was also made to steal a snow blower.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service would like to remind all homeowners to secure their sheds and garages. 

Also consider installing motion sensor lights on sheds and garages.
