SooToday received the following death notice for John Cletus Young, a local Second World War veteran who died Sunday at the age of 94:

Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday, August 30, 2015.
John was 94 years old.
He will be dearly missed by his friend and roommate of many years.
He will be truly missed by many of his family and extended family members.
John also leaves behind many other relatives, neighbours, friends, nieces and nephews.
John was a brave man who fought valiantly for his country in WWII.
Donations in his memory can be made directly to The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25.
